Dr. Douglas KochDr. Koch graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency training a Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship training in London, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Dr. Koch is a professor of ophthalmology and holds the Allen, Mosbacher, and Law Chair in Ophthalmology. He has been a member of the Baylor faculty since 1982, and has been performing refractive surgery since that time. He is the author of more than 200 research articles and educational chapters. Current international and national positions include Editor of the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Past President of the International Intra-Ocular Implant Club, Past President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and one of six charter members of the Executive Committee of the Refractive Surgery Interest Group of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Koch has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” in a survey of physicians. He has been named in every edition of the book America’s Top Doctors: The Nation’s Leading Medical Specialists. In a survey conducted by Ophthalmology Times, he was named one of the top 10 refractive surgeons in the United States.
