  • Dr. Hamill - A graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Hamill has performed refractive surgery since 1983. Dr. Hamill is Director of Medical Student Education in Ophthalmology at Baylor, and has served in several capacities for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
  • Dr. Koch - Dr. Douglas Koch has practiced Houston refractive surgery for the Baylor eye center since 1982. He is an editor of the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and has been named one of the top ten refractive surgeons in America. Watch Dr. Koch on PBS’s documentary “20/10 by 2010.”
  • Dr. Manuel - Dr. Manuel’s involvement in developing appropriate vision care for space flight has earned him the position of assistant to the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General for Optometry Affairs. Dr. Manuel has practiced ophthalmology for over twenty years.
  • Dr. Pflugfelder - Dr. Pflugfelder has been performing keratorefractive surgery since 1985. He is the Director of the Ocular Surface Center of Baylor’s Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Pflugfelder is a Houston PRK expert and has been widely published on laser vision surgery and problems of the cornea.

About Baylor Vision – Our facilities
The Baylor Vision facility of the Cullen Eye Institute contains the VISX Star S4TM excimer laser, VISX CustomVueTM Technology, the WaveScan, and Alcon Autonomous LADARVision. This equipment is the most precise LASIK technology available. It is capable of individualizing laser eye surgery to the exact needs of the patient.
